Tips to a Less Stressful Move

Unless you're living like a minimalist, moving to a new house is one of the most challenging household tasks you'll ever have to deal with. It could be extremely overwhelming. But if you could plan well ahead of time and be organized, you will truly make it through such enormous process with a fulfilled feeling and be ready to enjoy your new apartment of house. Check out these helpful tips:

1. Dispose of as much things as possible before you start the packing process. Think about donating to charity, a yard sale, or tossing away some things.

2. Use same-sized boxes, if possible. These boxes will be easier to stack while you are packing your belongings and while your boxes are in the truck. Also, by so doing you'll be spared of the task of trying to figure out how to get all boxes of various sizes stacked in a way that they will not fall over.

3. Use smaller boxes to help both you and your moving team accomplish the task without struggling. Big, heavy boxes will make you feel exhausted fast.

4. Use a reliable tape and tape gun. The few extra bucks you will spend will save you a huge amount of frustration.

5. Make use of some wardrobe boxes. Such cool stuffs keep clothes clean and ready to hang. You can put your boots, shoes, and purses in the bottom.

6. Write the specific room where each box goes into on the outside of the box. This could save you a lot of time and effort when talking about depositing your boxes.

7. To help you find your stuffs with much ease, write a brief description of what is in each box. If you are using recycled boxes, tape a sheet of paper on the outside of each box to create a readable label.

8. When you are packing clothes, towel, bed sheets and the like, place a plastic garbage bag inside each bag first, then place your stuffs in the plastic bag. The same goes with the pans and pots. Doing so will spare you from the task of washing them when it is time to unpack. If you want to keep your clothes smelling nice, grab some sheets of fabric softener into the plastic bag.

9. Pack the things that you will need during the first night in separate boxes and label them as "essentials" so you can get to such belongings instantly without having to go through so many boxes trying to find certain items when you are already very exhausted.
