Menstrual cups are becoming hugely popular and taking the world by storm- well, at least 50 % of the world! Smart, sustainable women understand an excellent invention when they discover it, and you have just found it! Save unneeded expenditure, unneccessary consumables and landfill scrap while handling your body's cycles the natural way. Avoid tampon and sanitary pad waste. You'll wish you found these years ago. Eco-friendly, hygienic design and the most comfy. The Cerene comes in two sizes to be sure to fit every female, pre and post giving birth. The post childbirth one is slightly larger and accommodates your body's changes.

So many advantages, and such a little expense. Firstly the convenience level is better than tampons or sanitary pads. No leakage, lowered cramping and lowered risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). There is less expenditure, journeys to the pharmacy and having to dispose of nasty waste.

Only refresh the cup twice a day and it can easily deal with over night heavy flow. That is so convenient! The cup holds more liquid than either pads or tampons, so you need to alter less often. I have found mine super-comfortable and can forget that it is there!

The free storage bag is a nice touch and means absolute discretion and hygiene while in your bag or bathroom cabinet.

Cups can handle any stage of your period-- unlike tampons, with which you ought to beware to match an absorbency to your specific flow that day.

Tampon strings have the undesirable habit of getting covered in pee or, even worse-- popping out to make appearances at the pool or beach ... or tub.

I'm yet to meet anybody who has actually used these and not been a convert for life, and not met a single woman who didn't rave about them as quickly as they recognized how well they work and how comfy they are!

How to Make Homemade Delicious Lemon Chicken While on Vacation

Lemon Chicken with Baby Potatoes

For the taste of Italy, don't miss out on this superbly simple and stylish Lemon Chicken. It's as easy as preparing a fresh and delightfully tasty marinade and roasting it in the oven for about 25 minutes.

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 25 mins
Ingredients (Serves 2):
2 Medium Chicken Breasts
Baby Potatoes (quantity to your preference)
1 Lemon
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 Tsp Dijon Mustard
2 Tbsp Honey
Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper

Method:
The Lemon Marinade:
First of all, to prepare the individual components of the marinade; finely slice the zest of a lemon into a dish and crush both cloves of garlic. Add the crushed garlic to the lemon zest. Next, mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard and add this mixture to the lemon zest and garlic. Finally, squeeze the juice of the lemon into the bowl and mix again.

Tip: Before crushing the garlic, slice the cloves in half, lengthways, and remove the germ in the middle. Do this every time you prepare garlic. It will help with digesting the garlic.

Cut slices across the top of the chicken breasts and drizzle the marinade into the sliced chicken. Then cover the remainder of the breast in the marinade. Use about half the marinade to cover all chicken breasts, and when this is done, put the chicken on a plate, cover it with clingfilm and then leave it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preparing the Potatoes and Cooking:
Chop the potatoes in half, or quarters, small enough that they will cook within 25 minutes in the oven. If they are considerably large baby spuds, it's better to err on the side of caution and slice them into smaller pieces.

Place the chicken breasts in a deep oven dish, scatter the potatoes in with the chicken, and lay the squeezed lemon into the dish also. Drizzle the remainder of the marinade over the contents of the oven dish and season with a layer of olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Place in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees. Check the potatoes, and give an additional few minutes if needed.

Enjoy!

Homemade Delicious Dinner Recipes: Homemade Vegetarian Risotto

The last in the series, this Asparagus and Mushroom Risotto is to die for. It takes more time to prepare than most dishes in our range of food demonstrations at LeVinRouge, but it's worth the effort. This feels both light and comforting all at once. The rice gives the dish a wholesome taste but the crunch of the asparagus and peas cause it to feel rather light. Pair this with the sublime Terrazas de los Andes, Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Preparation Time: 2-3 hours
Cooking Time: 40 mins
Ingredients (Serves 4):
Broth:
1 Red Onion, 1 Carrot, Vegetable Stock, Salt, Pepper, Thyme, Rosemary.
Risotto:
250g Arborio Rice, 1 Glass of Olive Oil, 200g Parmesan,12 Asparagus Stalks, 100g Peas, 8 Small Button Mushrooms (thinly sliced), ½ Red Onion (finely chopped),1 Glass of White Wine

Method:
Making the Broth:
Boil a large pot of water. Chop one whole onion and one carrot into quarters and add to the water. Add salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary and some vegetable stock. Slow boil on a low - medium gas for about 2 - 2 ½ hours, adding water and stirring intermittently.
Risotto Soup:
Break the Asparagus stalk and chop the back of the stalks into 1" pieces. Add to a small pot of boiling water with half of the peas and half of the chopped red onion. Cook for about 10 minutes on a high heat. Following that add to a blender or food processor and blend until it forms a heavy liquid. Return to the pot and leave to sit.
Rice
Into a large pot on high gas, pour half of the glass of olive oil and when the oil is hot, add the onions and rice. Stir continuously until the rice becomes transparent, add the glass of wine and cook until it reduces.
Next add enough ladels of the broth until the rice is covered. Boil until it reduces and repeat two times. After reducing and when the rice is cooked al dente, lower the gas, and add 2/3 of the peas and asparagus soup to the rice. Add the remaining peas and the asparagus heads. Lastly, when the soup is reduced, it's time for you to add the mushrooms, mix everything together and switch off the gas completely.
Immediately after taking the pot off the gas, add the rest of the olive oil to the rice, add 2/3 of the parmesan and mix.

Serve and sprinkle with parmesan to flavor.
Enjoy!
