Yummy Yammy Moroccan Sweet Potato Salsa: New Yummy Superfood Salsa With Curry and Kale

I have eaten a great deal of salsa, but I've never had anything like this.

Yummy Yammy Moroccan Sweet Potato Salsa.

Okay, so the "salsa" part looks familiar. Let's take apart the rest:

* Moroccan-- Ever had a curry salsa? Me neither, but soon everyone will, it's that fabulous. As if curry doesn't make it interesting enough, it's also got French lentils (the elegant little tidy ones) and kale, the superfood everyone and their sister is trying to get you to eat. Combined, it's incredible.

* Yummy Yammy-- A Vermont mother dreamed this up to make sweet potatoes more practical to eat while working and raising kids. Vermont strikes again. What is it up there-- all those long winters with plenty of time to dream up great new food ideas?

* Sweet Potato Salsa-- Salsa without tomato, no tomatillo, and not a bean dip, either. It is actually made from a base of flame-roasted sweet potato. And not only a little for looks; it's the primary ingredient.

That impacts taste, consistency and nutrition.

The taste is a little sweet, but it's all-natural so there's no sugar, no corn syrup, and certainly no gross fake sweeteners. Its sweet taste is because it's roasted yams, so it's all natural and relatively low-glycemic. A world apart from tomato's biting acidic taste.

Sweet potato alters the salsa's consistency since it's not watery like tomato. Even though there's no fat in this salsa at all (take that, sweet potato fries!), it has a really rich mouthfeel.

And call Dr. Oz. Because this sweet potato salsa is packed with natural antioxidants as well. It's surprising, truly, because the entire 12 oz container has only 250 calories, but even 2 tbsps has half your suggested Vitamin A for the day.

I've tasted this salsa in numerous eye-opening ways. Of course, it makes a wonderful celebration dip and game food (perhaps the one game food your doctor will not yell at you for eating). Use pita chips or other crackers.

However it's also remarkable on meat and veggie burgers, and fantabulous on rice with tofu, chicken or shrimp. The owner has a video of what she calls Moroccan Eggs, and ... well, I doubt I'll ever go back to ketchup.

If you call yourself a food lover, or just think of yourself as someone who knows excellent food when you taste it, you better taste this.
